Welcome! My name is Eric Ferree. I’m a mechanical engineer providing contract product development services. What does that mean? Well, say you have an idea for a new product, but need someone to build computer models of the mechanical parts so that they can be prototyped and manufactured. Perhaps you need someone who can collaborate with your project team so that the product hits your design requirements and business targets. And maybe you will want prototypes built to prove feasibility or to plan for larger scale manufacturing. That’s what I do.

I began my career in 1994 and founded Product Design Solutions in 1999. Today the business facilitates the personal service that I provide. It allows the simplicity of working business-to-business. On the purchasing side that means that we can focus on the project at hand rather than HR issues. On the subcontracting side it means that I can independently have parts made or bring in other subcontractors to meet a specific project goal. These are things that will contribute to the success of the project and also make it easier to manage. And if I can help your project succeed and make it easier to manage, then I believe you’ll want me on your team!

I am grateful to have a small number of very good customers. Recently one of my best and longest standing customers has embarked on a new design project and has enlisted my services full-time. So I am not presently accepting any new projects. It’s good to have great customers!
